About Us

St. Francis School, Jamuna Dipa, Rourkela is established by the Fathers and Brothers of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Assisi, (T.O.R) a Religious Order of the Catholic Church. The school is administered by Ranchi Franciscan Society, a registered charitable society, having its headquarters in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Society runs 34 schools in different states of India. These schools conduct classes in English as well as vernacular languages. St. Francis School, Jamuna Dipa will be the 35th school established by the Society. Both Boys and Girls will be admitted to this school. The school will be staffed by dedicated and qualified Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and Teachers.

Recognition and Affiliation

The schools of T. O. R. in India are duly recognized by the State and National examination boards. St. Francis School, Jamuna Dipa is envisaged to be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (C. B. S. E.), in the due course of time. The necessary steps for this at different phases of the school’s progress will be undertaken by its able administration.

The Campus

The remote preparations for the establishment of this school began when the Society acquired land at Jamuna Dipa in the year 2004. After completion of the required legal procedures, the first phase of infrastructure development began in 2011. The school campus is spread out in a stretch of about ten acres of land in the outskirts of the city at Jamuna Dipa which is 12 kilometres from Rourkela railway station.
